Acts 3:1-10 1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer-at three in the afternoon. 2 Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, Look at us! 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man s feet and ankles became strong. 8 He†¦show more content†¦Peter and John had courage, even in the face of the coming persecution, they still evangelized well, because they saw this miracle strengthened them a lot. They tasted the power of miracles. Even if they were standing in the temple, where the same people whom they run away from were, they had courage to preach before them. They ran away when Jesus was arrested and questioned. Peter was changed, they had courage and also this person who was healed by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stood with them together giving strong testimony of Jesus Christ who they were proclaiming. This miracle of healing the crippled from birth is very important. When the Apostles were in difficulties, it gave them courage to overcome. Acts 3:1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer-at three in the afternoon It was at three in the afternoon, the last prayer time of the Jews in the temple. the apostles had this higher standard of faith, and they had a precious view of inheriting God s precious history. They didn t abandon the temple, even if the people who killed their master were there. God s history could not stop, they had the view to inherit it. The apostles had the amazing consciousness of history. They did not give up the temple of God. When we receive grace, on the position of new, it s easy to forget the efforts of the former workers, and abandon everything old, even good
